BRITISH BUYERS ARE TOPS
According to the
organizers of the second exhibition in London, there
are now 550,000 British homeowners in Spain.
This figure is expected to exceed 750,000 over the next
five years, The number of new buyers that chose Andalucia
for their home was more than 40% of that total.
The reasoning behind this enthusiasm for property buying
in Spain, is purely a longstanding passion the British
people have always had for the Southern coast! its climate,
its people and its food.
And in line with this choice for the Iberian peninsula
as a property
purchasing location, will be the decline in choice of
other normally popular real estate investment locations
around the world. Also on the increase are tourist numbers,
with over eight million visitors to Malaga province
in 2002.
Andalucian real estate agents need not worry about where
their customers are coming from over the next few years.
The bad weather along with the love for our coast is
encouragement enough for them to pack their bags and
head South, and as well as British investors there are
all the other nationalities that consider the Costa
del Sol to be the ideal place to live or retire in the
sun.
